Discover the easily identified, but lesser known edible mushrooms not covered in Wild Mushrooms 101. Discover more accurate identification techniques and an accurate map of mushroom seasons. You will make a spore print and identify trees associated with different mushroom species. Mushrooms covered include: Hericium, Lobster Mushrooms, Leccinum, Hedgehog, Black Trumpet, Entoloma and Elm Oysters. Your instructor is a certified expert by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and owns Tavis's Mushrooms.

Your instructor, Tavis Lynch, is a professional mycologist and commercial mushroom forager and cultivator. Tavis is a 30-year veteran of wild mushroom foraging in northern Wisconsin, a skill he initially learned from his father, David, of Cumberland, WI. He has been a commercial mushroom forager for many years and has been cultivating mushrooms on a large scale since 2011.
